DESIGN-A-SWORD

UPDATE!
Due to reasons beyond our control (read about it here) the contest has now been extended to the twelfth of September. The winning entry will still be revealed by September the fifteenth at the latest.

Have you ever dreamt of having one of your doodles resembling a sword show up in a digitally distributed game? Have you ever felt that you have a great idea for a sword in a videogame but didn't have the time or money to make the game? Perhaps you'd just like to have your name immortalized in the credits-section of a videogame?

If you answered 'Yes' to any one of the questions above, then this competition is for you! Draw a concept for a one-handed sword to be used in our upcoming Creator's Club/XBLA-game Colosseum or just send in an old design that you like and you're in the running to have it faithfully reproduced in three dimensions and put in the game.

Rules

The contest is open for participation to persons of all ages living anywhere. However, if you're under the age of majority considered legal in your country you should always ask a parent or legal guardian before submitting any personal information online.

You are welcome to send in as many designs as you wish.

We'll pick a winner based on a decision from our inhouse graphics jury (which consists of our regular inhouse graphics department).

The contest is open from August the fourth 2008 to September the fourth 2008. The winning entry will be revealed on our homepage by September the fifteenth at the latest. The person who sent in the winning entry will also be notified via email by this date.

And here are some (hopefully) inspirational examples of some of our own sword designs.
